Our Visit To Gainsborough’s House

It has been a wonderful day learning about the artist Thomas Gainsborough. We have taken part in a variety of arty activities including portrait drawing, making a book mark learning about different fabrics, painting, trying on costumes from the time of Gainsborough and lots more. Our Second Week In Squirrels!

This week in Squirrels Class we played games together, helping us to get ideas for designing our own Fairy Tale themed game. We have also been busy reading lots of different Fairy Tales. We have read to each other and to the adults in school.

Welcome Back Squirrels!

Everyone has made a brilliant start back and settled well into Squirrels class. We have all enjoyed getting to know one another. This week has included sharing our Fairy Tales from home, Guided Reading together, Science work, A spelling Test, Partitioning in Maths and lots more!

Key Stage 2 Visit Layer Marney Tower

Squirrels and Muntjacs enjoyed a wonderful day together at Layer Marney Tower in Essex. The children and staff all dressed in Tudor costumes which looked wonderful! It was a fun and really informative day. A great conclusion to our Tudors topic.
