Advent Window Grand Reveal

We had a welcome Christmas cheer early yesterday evening with the grand revealing of our Advent window display. We waited with excitement as our creation was unveiled and then we all erupted into a big festive cheer! Puff pastry swirls, biscuits, mulled wine and juice completed our gathering. Thank you to everyone who came along.

It has been a really busy day doing a variety of activites including Quad Biking and Archery. They have had a selection of great meals to keep them going! They are now all at the disco!!

We have heard from the Muntjacs and they have arrived safely. They had a great journey, the sun is shining and they are now on the beach! Everyone is having a great time!

Key Stage 2 Visit Layer Marney Tower

Squirrels and Muntjacs enjoyed a wonderful day together at Layer Marney Tower in Essex. The children and staff all dressed in Tudor costumes which looked wonderful! It was a fun and really informative day. A great conclusion to our Tudors topic.  

Year 6 Bikeability

Well done to year 6 for passing level 2 on their bikeability course this week.

Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution 2015

Last Friday Muntjac class made a ‘Squash it’ sandwich as part of the Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Day. We made a lot of mess but had a lot of fun. Thank You to Sainsbury’s of Halstead who provided all the ingredients and to Alison and Daniella for helping us.

Homework Sharing

Every week on Thursday Muntjac class share their topic homework. This is always a great session and everyone looks forward to seeing what their classmates have done. We always choose a great piece of homework to display in the classroom and there is a lolly for the neatest presentation.

Spring Is Here!

Muntjacs spent their art lesson in the sunshine drawing the beautiful daffodils that have magically appeared in our front garden! They used oil pastels and pencils to create their masterpieces. Well done Muntjacs, your daffodils look great!

Muntjacs Eclipse Breakfast

On Friday 20th March Muntjacs came into school early to have an eclipse breakfast of chocolate muffins, moon pancakes, croissants and orange juice. It was really good fun. Then we went outside to see the eclipse but it was very cloudy.

Red Nose Day 2015

Last week we had a great time on Red Nose Day. Everyone looked fantastic in their spots and stripes. Muntjacs did a great job of organising games and a lot of cakes were consumed! World Book Day in Muntjacs

On World Book Day Muntjacs went to Hedgehog class and read stories they had written after Nick Butterworth’s visit. We had a great time. Hedgehogs really enjoyed our stories.
