St. Giles’ C of E Primary School is situated in the picturesque village of Great Maplestead.

It retains its original Victorian Character, being sympathetically extended to create modern facilities.

The grounds have been enhanced through recent projects meaning that we have lovely outside spaces in which to play and learn.

The children at St. Giles’ are really supportive of one another and are encouraged to be full and active members of the school community. It is this ethos, underpinned by our Christian values that makes our school such a special place – vibrant, musical, creative and successful.

About our School

Our school community is a collaboration of children, staff, parents and governors, all working together to create an exciting and challenging learning environment. It is a place where history meets the technological age – our beautiful Victorian building houses a forward thinking and modern learning environment. Our outdoor spaces help us to take our learning beyond the classroom, all of which have been redeveloped over the last two years.

I am always delighted to welcome visitors to St Giles’.
